We are independent travel agency that uses our first-hand knowledge and experience of living and working in Botswana to connect you to the people, culture, wildlife and landscapes of the Maun district.

Known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta, Maun is a thriving hub and destination itself. The sandy suburbs of the town sprawl along the length of the Thamalakane River which is fed by several tributaries that flow from the Okavango Delta. Maun is unique because of these river systems that bring the floodwaters into the heart of town during the driest time of the year – creating an oasis in the Kalahari Desert. The name Maun comes from the San word ”Maung”, which means ”The place of short reeds”.

With a current population of roughly 80 000 people, Maun is a vibrant, culturally rich tourism town. Surrounded by untouched wilderness, the town has a unique mix of modern amenities and traditional Batswana culture making Maun an intriguing place to visit.
