Description
Full-Day Safari and Helicopter Adventure
Start your safari in Maun by boat or mokoro, heading north to meet your helicopter in the heart of the Delta. Your boat guide will take you up the Boro River and through the buffalo fence, exploring the Okavango Delta channels towards Chiefs Island. From your boat, immerse yourself in the watery landscapes experiencing close up views of the papyrus and reed-lined channels, wide lagoons and palm tree islands.
Enjoy wildlife sightings that may include hippos, crocodiles, elephants feeding and many species of antelope.
After your morning boat ride, your helicopter pilot will collect you on the banks of the river for your hour-long doors off scenic flight. Immediately after lifting off, the helicopter will offer a completely different perspective opening up the vastness of the Okavango Delta right before your eyes. The floodplains support large numbers of grazers and smaller numbers of hopeful predators, all on offer with entirely unrestricted views and photographic opportunities of a lifetime.
Upon landing you will be met by your game drive guide who will have a picnic lunch organised before your game drive begins. Driving through a wildlife-rich and private area of the Okavango Delta, spend the afternoon spotting game from your open safari vehicle. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to Maun by vehicle.
